Originally a character actor in television during the 1950s and early 1960s, Telly Savalas made a number of memorable films, including The Dirty Dozen and Kelly's Heroes before becoming a major international star thanks to television once again, this time in the lead role of Kojak. Whilst for many Telly Savalas was Kojak, his acting roles showed him to be at home in almost any role, from the comical side in Captircorn One to the villain in On Her Majesty's Secret Service. The two films in this collection also show those skills off to perfection.
