Nia, a 30s graphic designer, is unhappy in her relationship with her controlling partner, Tonisha. Nia, who struggles with a fear of a commitment, longs to change her ways, but when the new Postwoman shows up in town, Nia decides to choose unconditional love.

Written, edited, and directed by JD Walker, "The Postwoman," which has its on Facebook, IMDb, Twitter, and Indiegogo page, stars Mahasin Munir, Tish MacCullough, Tracie Collins, Anika Bobb, and Awet Teame. The DVD includes special features. Most notably, an interview with director about her process of creating the film, working with the cast, and struggling to turn the film into feature. Other special features include an extensive interview with the cast members, who share their own process and triumphs. The DVD also includes deleted scenes.

"The Postwoman" was filmed on location in the San Francisco Bay Area and includes musical selections by Larena Burno and Adilia Mathius.
The film originated at Qwocmap and premiered in Hollywood, CA at The Sistas are Doin' it for Themselves Film Festival.
