Hoping to usurp Chao's position as head of the Shanghai syndicate, Tong Mao retaliates by joining forces with the Japanese yakuza, sparking an Asian gang war that results in high-octane battle sequences between Jack, yakuza-hired ninjas, and international mercenaries that include an Italian knife thrower (Silvio Azzolini) and an American kickboxer (Eugene Thomas).
