Captain Scarlett (Richard Greene) returns home to France from traveling abroad to discover his lands have been taken by the Duke of Corlaine, a Royalist who is exploiting the peasants and seizing lands for his own ambitions. Meeting others who have also had their lands seized by the evil nobleman, Scarlett organizes the group for the purpose of thwarting the Duke's plans and regaining their lands. Scarlett also finds time to rescue Princess Maria (Leonora Amar) from the clutches of Count Villiers.
